Calculate Your Water Usage

Watch Your Water Ways!

Understanding where and how much water we use is the first step in beginning to conserve one of our most precious resources. This simple home water check-up will allow you to track your household consumption, both indoors and outdoors. After calculating your water use patterns, you can begin conserving in ways that work best with your lifestyle.

To use the calculator, we suggest you model your current usage and compare it to your water bill.  If the results are close, you could then consider trying changes in your usage (e.g., reducing the number of showers per day, running the dishwasher less often).

Note: The Toilet Usage rows have two entries; use only one if you have toilets that use a standard flush; use both lines if you have toilets with dual flush option or a mix of low flow and regular toilets.

Thanks for taking the time to become more familiar with your household water use.  With this knowledge you should be able to start conserving water around your home.
